The one thing that had the most influence on my writing was the 15 years I spent visiting Satanic Covens and interviewing victims of ritual abuse--yeah, yeah. I know, ritual abuse doesn't exist. Try telling the victims that. Plus I spent time studying White Witches, Black Witches, Druids. I investigated hauntings and have gobs of photos and voices on tape that still blow my mind.
