Twenty-nine-year-old Dallas native Caroline Spring is as bright and attractive as she is tall. With flaming red hair, long legs, and incredible one-of-a-kind violet-colored eyes, she's a standout at 5'10". But despite a propensity for short skirts and high stiletto heels, Caroline is all business when it comes to her business--high tech crimes analysis. Raised by a loving family who were as normal as cornbread and Friday Night football, Caroline always felt there was something "different" about her. That difference became painfully clear in documents hidden among the papers in her mother's estate, hinting that Caroline was not a Spring by birth. Armed only with a stranger's birth certificate, and a post card announcing the reunion of a family she'd never heard of, mailed from a Northern California city with a name she can barely pronounce, Caroline queues up for the next assignment to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Finding the perpetrator of the million-dollar fraud scheme she's assigned to investigate is the easy part. Keeping a safe distance from charming bad boy Mick Mahoney, a brilliant scientist and forensic investigator who believes in family curses, is the hard one. Especially when his family may be hers. But an even greater challenge awaits them and solving that mystery is going to be murder!

A nightmare in Wisconsin, a car crash in New York—two seemingly unrelated events, except to ...
... Liz O’Hara, the widow of an Episcopal minister and mother of two teenagers, who is forced to face her secret past when it is thrust before her on national television.
... Josh Wilder, an East Coast news anchor, a disillusioned beaten man who sees no hope in continuing until the accident that puts his career back on the fast track. But in order to cash in on his new celebrity, he must risk destroying the life of the woman he’s loved in his heart for the past twenty-seven years.
... twenty-seven-year-old Shay Sullivan, a nationally known open adoption activist, and an adoptee herself, lies near death, her one functioning kidney severely damaged. An uncommon blood type greatly limits the odds of finding a matched donor, but the rare Rhys-Montgomery antigen makes it almost impossible.
... Freedom, the charismatic Vietnam war protestor who hid his obsession for violence under the guise of righting the wrongs of an immoral war.
Set amid a backdrop of danger and intrigue, the tumult of the 70s pitted against the realities of the 90s, Morning Star is a life-affirming story of love—the love of a mother for her child, a man for a woman, and the triumph of good over evil. (224 words)
