Elusive Mission
Imagine being threatened and forced to give up custody of your child. That’s exactly what happened to Vanessa Gleason. A fairy tale marriage turned into a nightmare, Now, alone in the world, Vanessa vows to fight her wealthy ex-husband for custody of her daughter. Was it fate that brought her to the little church on Christmas Eve?
"Bullied by her husband's threats to relinquish their two year-old daughter's custody, Vanessa is determined to get her daughter, Alyssa, back. Losing the little girl tore her apart. "She misses their morning ritual - the loving and hugging and cuddling. Every day for two years, they started the day the same way." To get her child back Vanessa must "pull herself together, get on with life, and find a job".
Vanessa's life does move on. But although there are new friends, including the attractive minister she meets when she goes to church to pray, and a destitute young mother and baby daughter, Vanessa never loses sight of her goal.
Roseanne Dowell made me care about Vanessa. From the beginning to the end of the story I wanted Vanessa to triumph over her cruel husband and vindictive mother-in-law.
I enjoyed this page turner, and am looking forward to reading more of Roseanne Dowell's fiction." ~ R.A. Rach "Rosemary Morris", Amazon Reader and Verified Purchase

"I was intrigued after reading the description. The thought of a secret room covered over had me curious. I love a good mystery. Plus a good romance. I highly recommend this book if you like mystery and romance. And you can't beat the price, a bargain." ~ 4 Stars, BrenLee, Amazon Reader and Verified Purchase
"Great story and loved the heroine's spunk. Her handy man was awesome. Well written with good and nasty characters. The hidden room and diary kept this reader turning pages. Hated for the story to end. Hope there is a sequel." ~ Carol L. Exline, Amazon Reader and Verified Purchase

Designed for Love
Fate, kismet, or whatever you want to call it is, it turned Interior Designer, Wendy Seidel’s world upside down. From a chance meeting at the airport to Florida and back to Ohio, she can’t believe the strange circumstances that throw her and Bill Johnson together, after he literally knocks her off her feet at the airport.
"A laugh out love funny romance story, "Designed for Love" makes us believe in Kismet, Fate or even destiny, that there truly is someone out there for us and random in incidents will throw two people together. Told in the points of view of Bill and Wendy, in firsthand accounts, it is really hilarious to know how they were thinking. Taking a lighthearted approach, the author made falling in love fun as in going through a water slide. Wendy and Bill are two easy going, hopeful and sometimes blithe. They take their heart seriously though. So when the stirrings of love began, though avoiding it was hopeless, treading lightly was the only step they could take. An easy read that will put smile to your face." ~ 5 Stars, Sheiglagh, Amazon Reader and Verified Purchase

Time to Love Again
The man next door, his granddaughter, and her sister’s ghost help bring Rose Asbury out of her seclusion.
Fifty-eight year old, Rose Asbury knows people think she’s a recluse, but she doesn’t care. She just wants to be left alone. She doesn’t need anyone and no one needs her and that’s just fine. At least she didn’t until this year. For some reason this year is different. Suddenly, she’s melancholy and discontent with her life.
And the man next door doesn’t help matters. He insists on speaking to her. So her stomach tumbles every time she sees him, that doesn’t mean anything. Hunger pangs, nerves, she just wishes he’d leave her alone. Or does she? To top it all off, his granddaughter and her friends insist on playing in her yard, sledding, building snowmen and throwing snowballs at her house.
Then her sister’s ghost shows up and Rose’s life changes drastically.
"This is an unusual romance novel, because both the hero and heroine are much older than traditional romance characters. There's a lot to like in this simple story about love and family, friendship, holidays and traditions, commitments and how things change as years go by and children grow up. Not the least of which questions of how we view ourselves and our place in the world. For fans who like sweet romance and emphasis on family values, this one's a nice treat." 4 Stars, Ex-Californian, Amazon Reader

"When Meghan inherits a big Victorian family home from her aunt, she moves to the small town to begin a new life. Shocked by the state of disrepair, she starts to put the house back together, only to discover troubling family secrets, a corpse and undeniable feelings for an old love. Secrets, Lies and Love does not disappoint. Mystery, love, and twists. Excellent story." 5 Stars, Judy Winn, Amazon Reader and Verified Purchase
"I enjoyed the story line and the way the story flowed. It was a great light read, didn't take me long to read through the whole thing on my Kindle. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author." 4 Stars, Lois M., Amazon Reader and Verified Purchase
"Roseanne Dowell has certainly captured all the elements that make a terrific story in this one book. Returning to your home town, one that isn't necessarily filled with pleasant memories can be traumatic. The welcome mat doesn't really stand out when the house you've inherited is more ready for demolition than becoming your new home, and finding a dead body inside garners attention no one wants. When you add in the mystery of who the victim is, who is making the threatening phone calls, and wondering if the hero and heroine are truly destined to reignite sparks that started long ago, those pages will not turn fast enough. I highly recommend Secrets, Lies and Love. I certainly wasn't disappointed for one minute." ~ Ginger Simpson, author of Sarah's Heart
"I liked this book very much. It was well written and kept me interested. Could not put it down till I was done reading. Very good book." ~ Nancy Lawrence, Amazon Reader and Verified Purchase
